Welcome To My Neighborhood
Come join us for a fun class with Kim Hesson and help us welcome her to her first visit to the Oasis!
Come along and join Kim in creating your very own charming petite neighborhood! Her latest obsession has been creating on a small scale and this whimsical neighborhood has her wanting to create more! In this class you will be able to let your imagination run wild as you decorate 3 petite houses for your very own neighborhood! And to help add curbside appeal to your little street you will also be decking out a miniature tree. These 4 pieces have all been created and handcut from wood by Kim. As we decorate them we will be using some fun and whimsical papers topped off with some vintage goodies, buttons, trims, glitter and anything else we can fit on them! We will be painting, stamping, collaging, stitching, and lots more to give these little houses the debut they deserve! Of course for their debut they will be proudly displayed on their very own petite pedestal. The darling pedestal will be pieced together in class and then painted, distressed, collaged, glittered and embellished. The pedestal is the perfect place for your neighborhood and Kim find herself moving the little houses around and dreaming about the next little house she wants to add to the collection. Before long your neighborhood will be a city!
Kim lives in Mesa, AZ with her husband and three kids. She has loved crafting and art her whole life! Kim has worked with wood for over 16 years, including creating custom tole painted decorative pieces and furniture. She also has a gift for floral arranging and has taught for the the past 13 years.
