Supply List

Just a quick note to let all of you who have signed up for Donna's classes know that the supply lists for both classes have been added to their Photo albums.

We will be closed for the New Year, and will reopen on Saturday, January 2, 2010! We hope everyone has a safe and fun New Year's celebration. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Scrapbook Oasis Charm Swap

A couple of weeks ago we over heard a conversation a few of our customers were having during a crop and we just had to get in on what they were planning. A charm swap! What a fun idea!

Here's how it works…

Before the event

- The actual number of charms you will need to make will be determined by the number of people who sign up.  This will be provided shortly after sign ups have closed.

- Your charms should be identical and can be made out of beads,  pearls, tags, clay, Shrinky Dink, bottle caps, or any durable material.

- All charms must be attached to a silver lobster claw clasp

- Charms should be no larger than 2” (including lobster claw clasp)

- All charms should be individually packaged & labeled with your name & email. Place all charms in a larger bag

- All charms must be turned into the store no later than Friday, November 20

- You will only receive charms if you turn in charms

- The colors for the swap are red, turquoise & pink with silver metal findings (pearls & metallics are considered neutral & can also be used in your designs)

What to bring with you to the event:

- Open link bracelet or necklace to assemble charms – you can get a basic 8” bracelet at one of the craft stores for as little as $1.29

- Jewelry making tools/pliers & findings

- Any “filler” beads or charms you would like to add to your own bracelet.  Filler beads help to complete and “fill out” the bracelet.

- You are also invited to donate any filler beads to our bead buffet for others to choose from to complete their bracelets.

- The official date for the swap is Friday, December 4th and will be held at the Scrapbook Oasis

At the event:

- Everyone will receive one of each charm from each participant

- Bracelet assembly & design begins!
